Unit 33- original performance Stim 1

 What were your original ideas?  28/03

My original ideas based off the stimulus was to incorporate almost a hidden relationship between two men in some way. However I also took from the stimulus that there could be several different relationships interpreted from the two men, for instance another initial thought was a father and son relationship. The rose/ corsage that one of the men is adjusting in the others suit was something that immediately stood out to me and definitely made me question the type of relationship I could create. The direction the men were looking in and their facial expressions further expanded my perspective of their relationship and the lack of colour in the image could signify this day was a core memory for the two. However the sunlight in the image allows me to understand the photo could be set somewhere aboard and link back the the original idea of this hidden relationship which may be forbidden due to traditional culture and values- alongside the time period hence the black and white.

My groups original ideas were all fairly linked. For instance every member of the group (Rudi, Dolly, Demi, Zack & myself) generally noticed the rose on the suit and wanted it to become a vital part of the performance.

Today we explored our initial idea of the rose in the stimulus.
